What if STAN LEE handed YOU a piece of paper that said,

Team members:
* Mister Fantastic - A guy who can stretch his body like it's made of bubblegum
* The Thing(working title)- A guy that's an orange rock
* The Human Torch - A Human Torch
* The Invisible Girl - Self explanatory "
What would YOU come up with?
People often say Stan Lee created the Marvel Universe. That's only partly true. He may have created the concepts but it was the one and only, KING of comics, JACK KIRBY who created the look of the MARVEL UNIVERSE! The characters everyone knows and love look the way the do because of Kirby! His dynamic comic pages turned Marvel from a pulp publisher to the undisputed media empire it is today! If you find ANY comic book artist who says he ISN'T inspired by Jack Kirby - then congratulations you just met a liar! His art was not only the blueprint for countless comics but for animation, tv and movies as well! Hey, Star Wars fans - Evil, scarred-faced villain who hides his disfigurement in a suit of armor with a cape? Yeah you can thank Jack Kirby's Doctor Doom for your Darth Vader!
Today Jack Kirby would've been 100. He's known as the "King" of comics. But to me, he'll always be the GOD of comics!
Thank you Mr. Kirby for helping to create a universe (and an industry) that continuously sparks the imagination of millions and that even grew big enough to make room for me!!
